I'm whoring I'm whoring I'm whoring!!!!
Ok, so a few really good friends of mine started a band and I can only imagine that they're really awesome! I've had the priviledge of listening to a few of the band members play alone, but not recently and even back then they kicked total ass!
The band's name is "The Ingredients" and is a Rock/Blues band that is heavily influenced by older classic rock bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and the such. They also do covers for bands like Sublime.
For those of you who went to Greene, you propably already know Paul (Decurtis) and James (Marcil). Paul plays bass and James is a lead guitarist and vocalist. A neighbor of Paul's new home in Smithfield, Jimbo, is on drums.
They're playing the Smithfield High Battle of the Bands this coming Friday, October 21st. The tickets are 7$ at the door and they were really successful in their show at the Johnston Battle of the Bands where they won second place!
I would really appreciate it if you would all try your best to head out and suppot these rising artists, who knows you'll probably see them in stores soon enough. They've all been palying for many years and I'd say they're rather experienced.
Those of you who read this are obviously good friends of mine and can trust my word that this would not be a waste of time. It's a shame already how little recognition the arts are getting acedemically, so step out and go out to see "The Ingredients."
I'll be at the show next week as well, so for further details contact me. This way you'll know that you won't be alone either!

I bet they're good. They're so into music. Paul's even critiqued a number of famous artists, so I suppose he has something to show. Plus, I love bass. Haha. James is good at guitar, I've seen him play. He sings? Should be interesting. I hope they win.
They'll be famous one day! Then we can throw a party.
